Cyanotype Lamp Workshop
Workshop Information
Explore the art of cyanotype lamp making and create a glowing handmade lamp with sun-printed designs. A calming, hands-on workshop for curious creatives, hobby artists, and anyone seeking a new artistic experience.
- Time: 11:30am - 2:00pm
- Date: 22th Aug, Saturday
- Location: Thelagram, JP nagar
About the Workshop
-
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create two cyanotype prints using sunlight, and transform one of them into a functional table lamp. From composing and exposing your image to assembling the finished lamp, you’ll be guided through the entire process, ending with an object that is both image and form.
-
No prior experience is required, and you’ll learn directly from practicing printmakers throughout the session.
What You Can Bring
-
You’re welcome to bring your own flat objects to create a more personal cyanotype. Leaves, lace, pressed flowers, cutouts, transparencies, and photographic negatives all work beautifully.
-
If you’d like to use a photograph, you can have it converted into a negative and printed onto an OHP sheet. We can also arrange this for you for ₹50 per print.
-
If you don’t have anything specific in mind, don’t worry, we’ll have a selection of materials and visual references available for you to experiment with.
What You’ll Take Away
A one-of-a-kind cyanotype table lamp, designed, printed, and assembled entirely by you, along with a second cyanotype print to take home.
