Cyanotype & Bookbinding Workshop
Workshop Information
Discover the art of cyanotype and traditional bookbinding!
- Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Date: 5th September
- Location: Thelagram, JP Nagar
About the Workshop
This workshop brings together two processes cyanotype printing and hand bookbinding into a single, cohesive experience.
You will begin by creating your own cyanotype prints using light-sensitive chemistry and natural or found materials. These prints will then become the cover of your book.
Following this, you will learn how to bind your pages together using a closed spine binding technique, resulting in a fully handmade artist book.
What You Can Bring?
- You’re welcome to bring personal materials to make your book more intimate and layered handwritten notes, letters, poems, prints, or textured papers.
- For the cyanotype process, you may also bring small, flat objects such as leaves, lace, pressed flowers, or transparencies.
- All materials and references will also be provided if you prefer to work with what’s available at the studio.
What You’ll Take Away-
A one-of-a-kind handmade book, designed, printed, and bound entirely by you.

Important Notes
- If you’d like to incorporate specific objects for your cyanotype (like leaves, lace, or small flat elements), feel free to bring them along. You can also convert a photograph into a negative and get that printed on an ohp sheet. Otherwise, we’ll have materials and references ready for you.
- You’re welcome to bring your own personal papers, handwritten notes, letters, poems, old prints, textured sheets, or any paper you’d like to incorporate and stitch them into your book to make it even more personal and unique.
- If you want us to convert a photograph into a negative and get the print out for you, that can be done. The charge will be ₹50 per print.
